The English Gupta family (GFG), controlled by the Indian businessman Sanjeev Gupta, has filed an offer with the Commercial Court of Orleans (Loiret) to take over the AR Industries auto rims manufacturer based in Diors, near Paris. Châteauroux (Indre), via its industrial subsidiary Liberty House. In legal recovery since January 16, the latest French manufacturer of car wheels, interests four manufacturers, including GFG, and a financial group.
GFG, controlled by the Indian businessman Sanjeev Gupta, is a conglomerate of 12,500 people, present in the industry, energy, and steel mills. It is this same manufacturer who proposes the takeover of a foundry Rio Tinto, ex-Péchiney, in Dunkerque, since last January. In a statement, Sanjeev Gupta believes that the recovery of AR Industries would be “a major step” for its establishment in France, within a global industrial network.
