Tesla CEO Elon Musk hasn’t been shy about criticizing rivals like Ford and General Motors, but that doesn’t mean he would dismiss the idea of teaming up with them.
During a Tuesday interview with Axel Springer, the parent company of Business Insider, Musk said he would be open to discussing a merger with another automaker.
“If someone said, ‘Hey, we think it would be a good idea to merge with Tesla,’ we’d certainly have that conversation,” Musk said.
