Kia Spain chooses Cetelem as its financier

Kia Motors Iberia reported today that it has reached an agreement with Cetelem Spain, a subsidiary of BNP Paribas, so that it will be in charge of financing the sale of its vehicles in the next three years (starting in 2018). Kia Motors Iberia has a network of eighty-one dealers in Spain.

On January 4, Cetelem also announced an agreement with South Korea’s Hyundai – to which Kia belongs – to become its exclusive financier.

For the general director of Kia Motors Iberia, Emilio Herrera, this partnership with Cetelem will help them “increase more, if possible, the magnificent results” obtained in recent years.

In addition, it will be “a great help to achieve the ambitious goals that we have set in the future,” he added.

The automobile sector is “strategic” for Cetelem, since it represents more than a third of its new investment in Spain, according to the Commercial and Marketing Director of Cetelem Spain, Franck Vignard-Rosez.

“We have invested a lot in the last 3 years to have a complete offer for brands and dealerships. Today we have innovative digital solutions that accompany the evolution of the business and of an increasingly digital consumer. This very focused strategy has allowed to double the volumes since 2013, “he said.
