Munich The Group’s new central unit for software development loses its chief technology officer. Chief Technology Officer Björn Goerke is leaving the Car.Software Organization (CSO) for personal reasons, as the car manufacturer announced. CSO boss Dirk Hilgenberg will temporarily take over this function until further notice. With the organization, Volkswagen wants to cope with the increasing proportion of software in their cars so as not to be at the mercy of technology groups like Google or Amazon.
