MILAN: Italian utility Enel said on Wednesday it had inked a deal with Weltmeister to develop the Chinese-owned electric car brand’s charging infrastructure globally and help boost exports.
Enel X, Enel’s advanced energy services unit, said it would offer smart charging solutions and one-stop after-sales services for Weltmeister products exported to overseas markets.
The target markets are Europe, China, South East Asia, the Middle East and South America, and the first project is planned to be launched in China in the first quarter of next year, it said.
Weltmeister is owned by Shanghai-based carmaker WM Motor Technology Co Ltd and is specialized in the creation of battery electric vehicles.
