Putting Hyundai on an equal footing with Volkswagen in terms of quality, equipment and style just ten years ago might have seemed like a publicity stunt by the Korean brand. Now it is a reality, with the new Tucson able to openly challenge models like the Volkswagen Tiguan or Peugeot 3008. Able to sell 7 million units worldwide, 1.4 million of which in Europe, how will it succeed in an increasingly complex segment. ? Starting from a revolutionary style but above all from a truly premium equipment with level 2 Adas and a range of engines that includes plug-in hybrid, hybrid, and petrol and diesel mild hybrid 48 volt versions.

New Hyundai Tucson

When the lights are off, the front of the car appears to be covered by dark geometric patterns, which do not allow the LED daytime running lights integrated into the grille itself to be distinguished. The new Hyundai Tucson grows in size, with a length increased by 20 mm for a total of 4.50 meters. The width increases by 15 mm (1,865 mm) and the wheelbase reaches 2,680 meters. Passengers in the rear seats can enjoy 26mm of extra legroom. The size of the boot has also increased, offering a load capacity of up to 620 liters with the rear seats upright and up to 1,799 liters when the rear seats are reclined, depending on the type of trim and engine.

Stepping aboard, you are greeted by a completely new interior, featuring the new 10.25-inch Avn-t screen dominating the center of the console. The qualitative leap compared to the previous model is exponential, thanks to the extensive use of soft-touch materials and solutions such as the new vents for indirect ventilation that start from the doors and end in the center of the dashboard.

The interior also shows a big qualitative leap compared to the old Hyundai models

On the other hand, some internal plastics and the integration of the air conditioning screen in the center of the dashboard should be reviewed. On the connectivity front, the latest version of the Bluelink connected telematics services system arrives on the new Tucson, along with the 10.25-inch infotainment system.
