Unveiled in concept form at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2019, the little brother of the Stelvio SUV about 450 cm long will settle in an important market segment, the same in which the Audi Q3 and Q3 Sportback, the BMW X1 and X2 and the Mercedes GLA, without forgetting the Nissan Qasqhai and the Volkswagen T-Roc. The Tonale SUV, as is known, shares the mechanics with the Jeep Compass, also produced in Italy in Pomigliano d’Arco, to the point that it will be available in a 240 hp plug-in hybrid version. However, the most classic petrol and diesel engines and front-wheel drive or 4×4 are expected. The style is a more dynamic evolution compared to the Stelvio, but the instrumentation changes inside and will be replaced by a more modern LCD screen. The presentation is expected in September, while the sales at the beginning of 2022.
