A new – gigantic – playground for Elon Musk? After the United States, China and Germany (where production has not yet started), Tesla is very close to reaching an agreement to manufacture its cars in another country: India, the world’s fourth largest automobile market complex.
The Californian manufacturer does not confirm anything, but the clues are piling up. “The American firm Tesla is going to open a production site in Karnataka”, states an official document from this southern Indian state, consulted this weekend by Reuters. The Minister of State himself indicated on Twitter that Tesla would soon start operations, before quickly deleting his message.
