FLO, a Quebec-based charging network operator and EVSE provider, has added Greenlots to its list of roaming partners, giving users of its smartphone app access to an even greater number of public charging stations across the US and Canada.
Los Angeles-based Greenlots, a subsidiary of oil giant Shell Group, has a large network of charging stations around the world, particularly in North America. The new agreement will make 2,250 Level 2 and 383 DC fast charging Greenlots stations in North America accessible via the FLO smartphone app.
In addition to Greenlots, FLO members can access charging stations on the ChargePoint, BC Hydro, eCharge and Electric Circuit networks—a total of nearly 55,000 stations.
“Opening our charging ecosystem to other networks is a concrete way we can make it more convenient for EV drivers to charge their vehicles, regardless of where they want to go,” says FLO CEO Louis Tremblay. “Collaborating between the different EV networks is key for electric vehicles to become more accessible and appealing for consumers. Since 2015, FLO has been leading the way with this type of roaming agreement. Becoming a member of the FLO network is free and easily done by downloading our app.”
