@Daimler: Sales release of the CLS: Sharpened styling for the CLS ahead of its debut with European dealers in July

Stuttgart.  A more dynamic look is at the heart of the updated CLS. The front end in particular, with new radiator grilles and bumpers, expresses the dynamism of the four-door coupé even more strongly. At the same time, the interior has been upgraded by the addition of new leather and trim combinations as well as a new generation of steering wheels. Prices for the extensively updated coupé start at EUR 60,755.45 [1] for the CLS 220 d (combined fuel consumption 5.1-4.8 l/100 km; combined CO2 emissions 135-128 g/km)[2]. At the other end of the range, there is the Mercedes-AMG CLS 53 4MATIC+ (combined fuel consumption 9.0-8.7 l/100 km; combined CO2 emissions 206-199 g/km)2 from EUR 104,737.851. The updated CLS is available to order with immediate effect. The first models will arrive with European retailers in July.

The most important optional features at a glance:

  • In the widescreen cockpit (EUR 892.50), the driver and central display form a visual unit. The touchscreen control on the central display facilitates quick interactions.
  • The MBUX Augmented Reality for Navigation (EUR 464.10) sees graphic navigation and traffic notices merged into the central display as live images.
  • All-round self-levelling is integrated into the sensitive and very responsive AIR BODY CONTROL multi-chamber air suspension (EUR 2,261).
  • The Driving Assistance Package (EUR 2,296.70) consists of Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC, Active Steering Assist, Active Brake Assist, Evasive Steering Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Blind Spot Assist and PRE-SAFE® PLUS.
  • The Driving Assistance Package Plus (EUR 2,891.70) builds on this and also has the Active Stop-and-Go Assist and PRE-SAFE® Impulse Side.
  • Two new trim finishes, including for the centre console, are available in open-pore brown walnut (EUR 464.10) and high-gloss grey wood (EUR 464.10).
  • The ENERGIZING package (EUR 1,065.05) offers up to five ENERGIZING comfort programmes and the ENERGIZING COACH. The package also includes heated seats for the driver and passengers,
    AIR-BALANCE package and ambient lighting.
  • The ENERGIZING package plus (EUR 5,206.25) offers up to eight ENERGIZING comfort programmes and the ENERGIZING COACH. Additional components include multi-contour seats for driver and passengers, air conditioned seats for driver and passengers, heated comfort package, AIR-BALANCE package and ambient lighting.
  • The AIR-BALANCE package (EUR 398.65) combines ionisation, improved air filtering and fragrancing.
  • The AMG Night Package II (EUR 654.50) for the Mercedes-AMG CLS 53 4MATIC+ includes a radiator grille, Mercedes star on the rear and lettering in blackened chrome. It is available in conjunction with the AMG Night Package.
  • The AMG DYNAMIC PLUS Package (EUR 1,785) boosts the dynamic of the Mercedes-AMG CLS 53 4MATIC+ with an array of details on the interior and exterior. Racetrack-fit performance with a sporty emphasis can be experienced in the additional “RACE” driving mode with the Drift mode.
