Buick’s popular Enclave three-row SUV will get new safety features and other upgrades this fall for the 2022 model year. The top-of-the-line Avenir model is in line for a number of changes to further differentiate it from the rest of the Enclave lineup.
Exterior changes include new headlights, grille and front fascia.
Inside, a new center console includes a switch to push-button transmission controls and more soft materials.
The Enclave adds plenty of standard safety and driver assistance features including:
- Automatic emergency braking
- Front pedestrian braking
- Forward collision alert
- Following distance indicator
- Lane keeping assist and alert
- Blind spot and lane change alerts
- Rear cross-traffic alert
- Rear parking assist
- Automatic high beams

Other new features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, available color head-up display, front parking assist, rearview camera monitor and rear pedestrian detection.
The Sport Touring model also gets a unique grille and 20-inch wheels.
On top of the other changes, the Avenir gets:
- Unique grille, front and rear bumper fascia
- Heated, ventilated and massaging front seats
- Available continuous damping control suspension
- New interior trim appliques and seat sewing patterns
There’s no change to the Enclave’s running gear, which includes a 310-horsepower 3.6L V6, nine-speed automatic transmission and choice of front- or all-wheel drive.
