Diode, a UK provider of electric vehicle tech, has closed a new investment round led by Haatch Ventures, with support from angel investors and NorthInvest, giving the company a valuation of £2.1 million.
Diode’s web-based software platform is designed to be an easy-to-use, all-in-one solution that helps businesses assess their suitability for electrification, generate an infrastructure roll-out plan, and purchase chargers through an automated tender process.
Diode will use the new funding to take its platform to market, refine the user experience and gear up for international growth. The company’s core software platform, BusinessCharge, is expected to be available this summer.
“Diode is uniquely placed to fill a growing gap in the market and has the potential to disrupt the industry across the UK and the rest of the world,” said Simon Penson, Partner at Haatch Ventures.
“We’re pleased to have gained such a strong vote of confidence from an incredibly experienced group of investors,” said Jon Horsfield, founder and CEO of Diode. “Haatch Ventures and our angels bring with them a huge amount of knowledge from across the consumer tech space and scaling startups.”
