NEW DELHI: Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) registered monthly domestic sales of 13,574 units in March 2018, down by 28.37 per cent as compared to 18,950 units in the corresponding month last year. The company’s exported stood at 486 units in March 2018.
HCIL, however, recorded an annual domestic sales of 170,026 units during FY17-18, witnessing over 8 per cent growth as compared to the last financial year. The company had sold 157,313 units during FY16-17. The total export volume of the company was 5,610 units during FY 17-18.
Strong sales momentum of current models helped HCIL to keep pace with the industry growth, HCIL said in a statement.
Currently, Honda Cars India is selling eight passenger vehicle models in the country, including the Brio, Amaze, Jazz, WR-V, City, BR-V, CR-V and the Accord. The current Amaze is in the run-out phase, as the company prepares to launch the all-new 2nd Generation Amaze shortly. HCIL has also lined-up other two big launches with the all-new CR-V and Civic, enhancing the product line-up for the new fiscal year 2018-19.
