NEW DELHI: Tata AutoComp Systems on Wednesday said it along with US-based charging infrastructure company Tellus Power Green has executed a supply order for 64 200kW DC fast chargers to Tata Power. Tata Power is setting up charging stations for the EV buses in Mumbai as well as Ahmedabad.
Already, 50 of these chargers have been commissioned and for the balance, installation is in progress and shall be completed very soon.
“Supply of these 64 200KW chargers to Tata Power for charging Tata Motors buses is very strategic and important step for us as we work synergistically and in tandem with Tata Group companies to support Vision of our Group Chairman as well as the Government of India’s Vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat,” Tata AutoComp MD and CEO Arvind Goel said in a statement.
Both partners have decided to extend the partnership for another three years and would work aggressively towards localisation of these chargers for which the work has already started, he added.
“The company has been part of many clean energy initiatives globally and is a leader in electric mobility markets. Thanks to this alliance, we can achieve the promotion of electric mobility in an efficient way and benefit more countries internationally,” Tellus Power Green Global CEO Randhir Reddy said.
Tata AutoComp has ten joint ventures to roll out automotive components and systems like engine cooling solutions, automotive batteries, rear view mirrors, command systems, HVAC, and exhaust and emission control systems among others.
