Electric car: these newcomers who want to follow Tesla’s path

Where are the young shoots of the electric car? Among the many companies to have followed in Tesla’s wake in recent years, some are already no longer quite start-ups: the Chinese Nio , Xpeng or Li Auto started to deliver cars. One thing is certain, the auto industry is undergoing a dramatic transformation, considered incredible just 10 years ago. “The landscape was then frozen for decades,” recalls economist Fabien Neuvy, specialist in the sector. “It seemed impossible to create a new manufacturer, because the complexity of heat engines constituted a real barrier to entry.
