- That data is available to the public.

After a difficult 2020 that saw the company lay off around 25% of its workforce and sell some of its business units, Uber is focused this year on achieving a measure of profitability as it tries to become the Amazon of local commerce and transportation.
Insider analyzed filings the company submitted to the US government that describe how much it pays some of its employees in more than 70 roles. The US Office of Foreign Labor Certification requires companies to disclose compensation for permanent and temporary employees from outside the US to ensure the firms aren’t paying them less than what their peers make, on average.
The salary data Insider reviewed is from the fourth quarter of 2020 through the second quarter of 2021 and represents either an average or range among employees included in Uber’s disclosures. Uber declined a request for comment.
