Fast on the way
If you want, you can drive faster than 25 km / h with the Cyklaer pedelec with just muscle power.
Idstein The German bicycle manufacturer Storck Bicycle has launched a new premium bicycle brand called Cyklaer in cooperation with Porsche Digital. The stylish bikes in the upper price segment are characterized by e-drives and networked solutions. First there are the technically largely identical basic models E-Gravel and E-Urban, which can be ordered at prices starting at around 7,000 euros.
The e-bikes with neat full carbon frames integrate an almost invisible electric drive from Fazua. Completely internally routed cables and lines also ensure a tidy look. The mid-engine solution, which can be removed from the down tube, weighs just 4.6 kilograms, the complete pedelec around 15 kilograms. Despite a small battery with 252 Wh, a range of up to 120 kilometers should be possible.
The drive unit called “Ride 50 Evation” mobilizes up to 55 Newton meters and supports up to a maximum of 25 km / h. Without having to overcome resistance, it should be possible to drive faster with muscle power alone. If you want to be as sporty as possible, you can leave the electric drive unit at home.
In addition, the Cyklaer bikes are characterized by the SP Connect iPhone holder, thanks to which the smartphone serves as an information and control unit in the center of the handlebars and, thanks to the Cyklaer app developed by Porsche Digital, as a platform for many multimedia functions. These include the integration of Komoot, Apple Health and Apple Music.

Ready for the city
With the E-Urban, mudguards, luggage racks and a lighting system are already part of the basic equipment.
lightweight
The E-Gravel weighs less than 15 kilograms with an electric drive. If the electric drive is removed, it is only just over 10 kilograms.
An inductive charging system is integrated in the holder, which supplies the smartphone with power even while driving. A front and rear camera are also integrated in the bike. While the former is used to take photos and videos that can be shared with friends via social networks, the rear camera acts as a virtual rearview mirror, the image of which is shown on the smartphone display.
The high-end components of the Cyklaer bikes include an SRAM gearshift with electronic rear derailleur, hydraulic disc brakes and wheels from DT Swiss. With the E-Gravel, the customer has the choice between a purist version and a streetwear version that costs around 7,300 euros and which also has mudguards, B&M lighting and luggage racks. Cyklaer is calling for the same price for the identically equipped E-Urban with straight handlebars.
