The registrations of electric vehicles, which include passenger cars, quadricycles, commercial and industrial vehicles and buses, reached a volume of 2,697 units during the first three months of the current year, which is more than double (+ 119%) the deliveries of that period from the previous year.
According to data of the Spanish Association of Manufacturers of Automobiles and Trucks (Anfac), the deliveries of this type of vehicles in the third month of the year reached a volume of 945 units, 63.2% more than the 579 units of the same month from the previous year.
On the other hand, the deliveries of hybrid models registered an increase of 31.63% during the first quarter of the current year, with a volume of 16,748 units compared to the 12,724 units of the previous year.
The Spanish market for hybrid vehicles reached a figure of 5,400 units last March, which represents a progression of 20% compared to the 4,500 units recorded in 2017.
As a whole, electric and hybrid vehicle registrations in Spain were 19,445 units in the first quarter, 39.3% more, while the monthly growth was 24.9%, up to 6,345 units.
