Continuous cycle six days a week
Electric steel components made incessantly and in a continuous cycle, 24 hours a day from Monday to Saturday, dedicating the second part of Sunday to maintenance, because we work in the morning too.
Situation of near saturation that pushes the group to constantly increase its production capacity by investing an average of 30 million per year. Necessary to meet the demands of the major world manufacturers: from Volkswagen to Porsche, from Daimler to Nissan, from Ford to Gm, groups that directly or through their Tier1 suppliers choose to get supplies here for the new electric engines.
«The striking case is Norway, with obviously minimal volumes, – adds the CEO – where, however, in August more than eight out of ten registered cars were equipped with our components. At the moment I believe that our world market share is close to 40% and we are working to consolidate this leadership ».
Strong growth: + 400 employees in the three-year period
Growth that translates into an expansion of the workforce, which in three years has risen by 400 employees: now the group is at 2300, with half of the staff concentrated in Italy, the remainder at sites in Mexico, USA, China, Russia and Tunisia. A figure destined to rise by another hundred units when the new Bollate lines are fully operational. “The other interesting aspect of the investment concerns technology transfer – he adds – because for the first time we will bring a new production process to Italy, so far only present in Mexico and China”.
In fact, the future seems to be traced in this direction: if still in 2016 the totality of the business was in the most varied industrial sectors, wherever an electric motor or generator is needed, now the car reaches almost 40% of revenues, also presenting the more sustained growth rates. “What we see – adds Arduini – is a crazy acceleration. In a certain sense, Covid represented the turning point, definitively making electric propulsion take off. The theme, for us as for anyone who wants to work here, is that of speed ».
