New Delhi:
Greaves Electric Mobility, the e-mobility arm of Greaves Cotton Limited, on Monday said it sold over 7,500 units in October.

However, the company did not break down the sales number to specify the number of two wheelers and three wheelers sold.

During August this year, it said it had sold 5,000 units. For Q2 FY22 (July to September 2021), it recorded 13,280 unit sales as compared to 7,178 units in Q2 FY21.

“The month-on-month increase in sales demonstrates brand acceptability and demand. Here, sizable demand is emerging from non-metro regions,” a company statement said.

“The recently-launched Magnus EX is receiving positive response from the customers, therefore leading to more bookings and sales,” it added.

Magnus EX model has an extra range of up to 121 km, with one charge providing three days of comfortable running, Greaves electric mobility said while adding that it has received over 5,000 enquiries for potential dealership opportunities from multiple towns and cities across the country.

Currently, Greaves has a retail footprint with nearly 7000 touchpoints.

Greaves mobility business comprises Ampere Electric, which caters to two-wheeler (e-scooters) and three-wheeler (e-rickshaw, e-auto and e-loader) segments. Within e-three wheelers, the company has a presence in e-rickshaws under the ELE brand and e-autos under the MLR brand.

Greaves Cotton Limited is a diversified engineering group involved in Engines, Retail, Electric Mobility, Finance and Technology services.
