MLADÁ BOLESLAV (CZECH REPUBLIC), 12 Jan. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Skoda automobile company has expanded the production of its new Karoq SUV to a second plant in the Czech Republic, in response to the increased demand that this type of vehicle is experiencing, the company said in a statement.

Skoda has started, in this way, the manufacture of Karoq in its main plant in Mladá Boleslav, where it has its headquarters, which is added to the Kvasiny factory, also in the Czech Republic, where this vehicle was already assembled.

The company said that the project to manufacture this SUV in Mladá Boleslav entailed an investment of 16.6 million euros and explained that this center will have a capacity of 320 units of the Karoq every day.

The head of Logistics of the Czech firm, Michael Oeljeklaus, said that the high demand from customers of the brand’s SUVs confirms that the company has launched “the right models at the right time”.

The car company started Karoq production in its Kvasiny center in July last year, although its launch did not take place until October. Currently, the Mladá Boleslav center assembles the Fabia, Rapid, Octavia and Karoq models.
