The fight against CO2 emissions should not lead to only manufacturing 100% electric cars. This is the point of view that the leaders of Toyota Europe have laid out at length this week during their annual seminar with the press, a position which sounds like an implicit criticism of the European Commission.
To fight against global warming, Brussels in fact proposed last July to limit the sales of new cars from 2035. only models that do not emit CO2 . In practice, this amounts to authorizing only 100% electric vehicles.
