The pill still does not pass. Joe Biden’s plan to establish a “superbonus” for electric vehicles manufactured by American unionized employees continues to anger competitors from manufacturers General Motors, Ford and Stellantis (through its Chrysler and Jeep brands) – who would benefit from such a measure.
Unlike their rivals, the “Big Three” of the automobile industry made in the USA have historically had a high rate of syndication. This is not at all the case with Asian and German manufacturers who have installed their assembly lines in the southern States. Or Tesla, present in California and Texas.
