Omni-channel eyewear brand Lenskart plans to open outlets in Indonesia and Vietnam by March 2022. Meanwhile, the Singapore-based, women-only social media Eve World has acquired the menstrual wellness app Femcy.
Lenskart to launch in Indonesia, Vietnam
Lenskart, an omnichannel eyewear retailer, has announced plans to strengthen its outlet presence across Southeast Asia and expand into Indonesia and Vietnam by March 2022, the company said on Thursday.
Lenskart recently opened its 20th store in Singapore and launched its first and only eyewear mobile application in the city-state to meet the growing demand for eyewear. It plans to have more than 75 stores across Southeast Asia, from the current 20 stores, by the end of 2022.
Founded in 2010, Lenskart has a strong presence across South and Southeast Asia market with a presence in 175 Indian cities and Singapore. The company also plans to open its first retail store in Dubai and a tech centre in New York.
Eve World buys Femcy
Eve World, an upcoming Singapore-based, women-only platform, has acquired Femcy — a femtech brand focused on menstrual wellness — for an undisclosed sum.
The acquisition is in line with Eve World’s efforts to create meaningful conversation and quality content for women in its platform.
Founded earlier this year by Tarun Katial, Aparna Acharekar, and Rajneel Kumar, Eve World received an undisclosed amount of pre-seed investment from Singapore-based Jungle Ventures in October.
“With its commitment to women’s health, Femcy’s goals resonate well with Eve World’s resolve to enable meaningful conversations, quality content, and services to women everywhere,” Eve World said in its LinkedIn post.
