Mobileye receives test license for Paris

Mobileye, which belongs to Intel, received a test permit for autonomous driving in Paris.

Mobileye is one of the leading companies in the field of autonomous driving and tests its autonomous vehicles in different countries and cities. In addition to the USA, this also includes Israel, South Korea, Germany and now France too. The company belongs to the chip manufacturer Intel.

So far, mainly Navya shuttles have been tested in Paris. With Mobileye, self-driving cars can now also drive through the city. Mobileye offers employees of the Galerie Lafayette Paris Haussmann on-demand travel options. Approval was recently issued.

Mobileye is carrying out the test project in cooperation with the third largest public transport company in the world, the RATP Group. The service is booked via the Moovit app. Intel bought this startup last year. The driving service is offered for four days a week for four weeks. This means that two people can be transported at a time. There is also a security guard from Mobileye with a supervisor from RATP in the front seats.
