There is hardly an issue on which Opel managers are so unanimous: From their point of view, the company premises in Rüsselsheim are “completely oversized”. In fact, just five years ago, the area that the Hessian carmaker has as its headquarters was larger than the Principality of Monaco.
“Maximum inefficiency” is the whole thing, so the tenor among executives. You don’t live privately in houses that fit three families. It is therefore important to finally save space. Opel has already passed on a few smaller areas to Ikea and the service provider Segula. Under the umbrella of Peugeot S.A. and Fiat Chrysler, the brand with the lightning bolt is now planning the big sell-off.
