Two new additions for the Jaguar F-Pace SUV line-up have been revealed for 2022, adding a pair of new sub-SVR range-topping models to the brand’s Volvo XC60 and BMW X3 rival.
Called 300 Sport and 400 Sport, the new duo are priced from £62,250 and £68,520 respectively, which means that only the 5.0-litre V8 supercharged SVR model is more expensive. Both use six-cylinder mild-hybrid power, with a diesel and a petrol option offered.
The 300 Sport is the diesel, using a 3.0-litre Ingenium straight-six with 48-volt assistance via a belt-driven starter-generator. It develops 296bhp and 650Nm of torque, sending drive to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic gearbox. Jaguar claims performance of 0-62mph in 6.4 seconds and a top speed of 143mph, with fuel economy and emissions of 38.2mpg and 194g/km CO2.
The 400 Sport is the petrol alternative, with its 48-volt assisted turbocharged 3.0-litre straight six producing 394bhp and 550Nm of torque. That’s enough to help it get from 0-62mph in 5.4 seconds and on to a 155mph top speed.
Both the 300 and 400 Sport are offered with Jaguar’s Adaptive and Configurable dynamics systems, allowing the throttle, steering and suspension settings to be tweaked by the driver. Otherwise, a suite of sensors will automatically adjust the car to the driving conditions.
While none of this is new mechanically, the Sport offers up a new level of standard equipment over the pre-existing F-Pace range, while adding several new styling and trim elements.
A black styling pack is fitted by default, with gloss black roof rails and complemented by 21-inch wheels in gloss black. Optional 22-inch wheels are also offered.
Inside, 16-way adjustable front seats with heating and ventilation are standard-fit, trimmed in Windsor leather. A suede headliner is combined with Satin Charcoal veneers for the centre console and dashboard. A fixed glass panoramic roof is equipped with 30-colour adjustable cabin ambient lighting.
As for infotainment, the 11.4-inch Pivi Pro touchscreen system is equipped with navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. As with the rest of the F-Pace range, the integration of Amazon Alexa voice control and assistance is a new addition.
UK orders for the new F-Pace 300 and 400 models are now open.
