Black Widow, a supplier of digital auto imaging equipment, announced on April 27 a partnership with Dent Wizard, a provider of vehicle reconditioning services in North America, for Dent Wizard to use Black Widow’s imaging and marketing services at two dealerships in Indiana. The arrangement will expand to other locations later this year.
“Dealers are under unprecedented pressure to flip vehicles faster than ever,” said Tim Grimes, director of sales at Black Widow, in a news release. “With consumers beginning their vehicle search online, quality imaging is what moves a potential customer from behind the screen to on the lot, and we’ve developed a system that enables dealers to handle photography in house – minimizing investment while still maximizing quality.”
Black Widow’s camera system captures images and 360-degree virtual tours within seconds, with images automatically uploaded to a dealer’s software enabling faster marketing and transacting with customers for a higher level of assurance. After used vehicles have been serviced and reparied for any minor damages such as dents and dings, dealers drive through the Black Widow surround camera system, which is suspended from the ceiling, to capture images automatically uploaded to a dealer’s software, speeding up time to market and accurate transactions.
Most imaging systems are difficult to move and take up valuable space within a dealer’s facilities, whereas Black Widow’s system is flexible while instantly supplying high quality images that ensure consistency and clarity for all vehicles remarketed through dealer websites.
Castle Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram and Castle Buick in Chesterton, Indiana, will be the first of Dent Wizard’s facilities to use the automated imaging system, with expansion plans in progress for later this year.
