Chain.io, a Philadelphia, PA-based supply-chain-specific, cloud-based integration platform, raised $11m in Series A funding.

The round was co-led by Fontinalis Partners and High Alpha, with participation from Mercury, Grand Ventures, Eve Atlas and Waybury Capital.

The company intends to use the funds to continue growing its network, adding more native connectivity to transportation and supply chain platforms, as well as geographic expansion across North America, Europe, and Asia.

Led by Brian Glick, Founder and CEO, Chain.io provides a cloud-based platform that handles supply-chain-specific integrations so customers–including 10 of the 15 world’s largest freight forwarders–can focus on their core processes.  The company’s pre-built adaptors help shippers and freight companies plug their legacy systems into modern API-based SaaS tools to better manage freight visibility, pricing, and compliance risk, saving them millions of dollars in operating costs every year.
