On May 9, 2021, Ilias A. and Ayoub A. were arrested in the Gard by the BRI, on their teeth since the death of police officer Éric Masson, killed on May 5 in Avignon (Vaucluse) during an anti-drug operation. Since their arrest, the two former friends, 21 and 22, have been tearing each other apart. One refuses to spend “30 years in prison for a colleague”, the other maintains having “nothing to do with this story”.
