Real estate private equity firm Gaw Capital Partners has appointed Nitin Gupta as head of India while BNP Paribas Asset Management has appointed Angelia Chin-Sharpe as chief executive officer for Singapore.
Gaw Capital Partners appoints head of India
Real estate private equity firm Gaw Capital Partners has appointed Nitin Gupta as managing director and head of India, according to an announcement.
Based in Mumbai, Gupta will spearhead Gaw Capital’s foray into India to capture investment opportunities across the real estate spectrum.
Prior to joining Gaw Capital, Gupta worked as managing director and head of India (real estate) with the Macquarie Asset Management business.
Gaw Capital runs an integrated business model with its own in-house asset management operating platforms in commercial, hospitality, property development, logistics, IDC and education. Since 2005, Gaw Capital has commanded assets of $35.2 billion under management as of Q1 2022.
BNP Paribas names Singapore CEO
BNP Paribas Asset Management has appointed Angelia Chin-Sharpe as the new chief executive officer for Singapore, finews.asia reported.
Based in Singapore, Chin-Sharpe will report to APAC CEO, head of the global client group and executive committee member Steven Billiet.
Before taking over this role, Chin-Sharpe was CEO and country head for Malaysia at BNP Paribas Asset Management. She has over 20 years of experience in banking and capital market.
BNP Paribas Asset Management, the investment arm of BNP Paribas, has assets under management of $612 billion (as of December 31, 2021).
