Pakistan’s nascent startup ecosystem grappling with impact of Airlift’s collapse

The collapse of Pakistan’s last-mile delivery startup Airlift has sent shockwaves across the investment and entrepreneurial community in the country’s fledgling tech startup ecosystem.

The company announced the closure of its operations last week on the third day of Eid, a three-day religious holiday celebrated in Pakistan. The decision to close down operations followed staff layoffs and pullback from various markets in S Africa and Pakistan in May.
