Ford pioneered the fun-to-drive MPV with the first S-MAX a decade ago, and the latest model is an even more rounded product. The S-MAX drives like a seriously well-sorted family saloon, yet offers seven-seat practicality. It’s more comfortable than the previous model and packed with enough technology to shame even some luxury saloons. There’s a great… Continue reading Ford S-MAX review

Prize awarded for third year in a rowLamborghini excels in Human Resources policy managementStephan Winkelmann: “Our Human Resources are the bedrock for challenges in the immediate future.”
Sant'Agata Bolognese, 10 February 2016 – For the third year in a row, Automobili Lamborghini has obtained the prestigious Top Employer Italy 2015 certification, an honor bestowed each year by the Top Employers Institute on companies with excellent workplace environments and advanced policies in Human Resource management.
The Top Employer certification program is a process lasting about a year; after a structured investigation and verification procedure in which nine criteria are considered – including salary policies, working conditions and benefits, training and professional growth, career opportunities and corporate culture – only companies that attain the highest scores are awarded the certification.
Automobili Lamborghini President and CEO Stephan Winkelmann commented, “The Top Employer certification endorses our investment and belief in Human Resources, which is a cornerstone to facing challenges in the immediate future, such as the introduction of the third model and the doubling of the Sant'Agata Bolognese factory.”
Umberto Tossini, Human Resources and Organization Manager at Automobili Lamborghini, added, “Motivation and attractiveness are different faces of the same coin. They are the starting point of many initiatives concerning care of our people – ensuring personal wellbeing – and important collaborations with universities and schools, to make working and academic life meet.” Lamborghini currently counts 1,300 employees at its historic factory in Sant'Agata Bolognese. 2015 was an extraordinary year: as many as 150 highly-qualified technicians and specialists were employed. In the last five years, Lamborghini hired almost 600 people through open-ended contracts. The company is driven by its Ethical Responsibility: a virtuous circle of people management which aims for continuous improvement.
Umberto Tossini, Human Resources and Organization Manager at Automobili Lamborghini, added, “Motivation and attractiveness are different faces of the same coin. They are the starting point of many initiatives concerning care of our people – ensuring personal wellbeing – and important collaborations with universities and schools, to make working and academic life meet.”

Sant'Agata Bolognese, 26. January 2016 – Automobili Lamborghini just ended 2015 with exceptional results. The all-time record of 3,245 vehicles sold worldwide comes with a rapid growth in workforce, which now stands at 1,300 employees.
More than 150 assembly line workers, technicians and highly qualified specialists have been hired recently with open-ended contracts, bringing the total of permanent employees taken on over the past five years to more than 600.
Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, commented: “Lamborghini is experiencing strong, steady growth in sales and also in its workforce. We are getting ready for groundbreaking changes with the introduction of our third model in 2018, which points to stable, sustainable growth for our company. This is why our investments in human resources are more important than ever, as we continue to focus on excellence and continuous improvements in this new phase of the company's future.”
The growth trend is destined to continue this year, with equally significant numbers. Since January, 30 new production line workers have joined the company thanks to the system introduced by the new supplementary company agreement. Other new hirings during the year will include technicians working in Quality, R&D, Purchasing, Industrial and Project Management divisions, as well as technical production staff.
The recruitment drive supports the development phase of the Urus: the super sports SUV and the third Lamborghini model. Launched in 2018, the Urus will take the company into a new era. Not only will the production site double in size – from the existing 80,000 m2 to 150,000 m2 – but 500 further new staff will be taken on. 180 of these new contracts have already been finalized. Investments in human resources are an important part of the company's corporate responsibility strategy, the aim of which is to create value through a responsible approach to the world and the areas in which Lamborghini operates, helping to ensure sustainable economic and social development with a constant ecological focus to preserve the planet for current and future generations.

In the fiscal year 2014 Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. again improved its key financial figures and reached new records in terms of sales and turnover in its history of more than 50 years. Worldwide deliveries to customers increased from 2.121 to 2.530 units: a growth of 19 percent. Turnover showed an even stronger growth of 24 percent from 508 million euros to 629 million euros. The over-proportional growth in turnover is due to a continuing high demand for the Lamborghini Aventador and the very successful market introduction of the new Huracán.
“For the fourth year in row Automobili Lamborghini delivered a very satisfying performance. The record values underline the attractiveness of our model portfolio as well as the strength of our global brand, product and commercials trategy,” said Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of AutomobiliLamborghini S.p.A.
Production at the Sant'Agata Bolognese headquarters is already used to capacity for the current year 2015.
In order to assure its commitment to innovation and in preparation for future growth, the long-established Italian super sports car company maintains its investment in research and development and in factory premises. Despite an above average rate of investment of over 20% compared to the industry the company also made a profit in the year 2014.
Winkelmann underlined: “Today the company is driving towards the future from a very solid economic base. With our very attractive model mix, on-going anticipated investment and stable markets, we anticipate a phase of solid growth in the medium term.”

2014 was an extraordinary year for Automobili Lamborghini: not only from the standpoint of sales (2,530 cars delivered to customers), but other indicators also demonstrate the growth of the House of the Raging Bull. In 2014, the company hired 192 highly qualified technicians and specialists, bringing the total number of permanent employees to 1,175. Over the last four years, nearly 500 new employees have been hired, all with open-ended contracts. Further recruitment is planned in 2015 with equally significant numbers.
Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, commented:”Lamborghini is undergoing a strong phase of growth in both sales and in terms of recruitment. We invest significantly in our people: we are committed to continuously seeking excellence in all our employees and all that we do. In 2015 we plan to hire further.”
The hiring focus has been on young talent. In fact, 50% of the new appointments are aged under 30, a countertrend to the unemployment rate for young adults in Italy, with the aim of continuing investment in professional skills development.
