Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italy, 7 September 2016 – Automobili Lamborghini is launching an international architectural contest, Lamborghini Road Monument, in order to create two installations inspired by the House of the Raging Bull. Young architects, designers and practices will compete to create works which will enhance the entry points to the town of Sant’Agata Bolognese, where the company is headquartered. The goal of the competition is to offer the local area a new identity with two installations which will make a mark on contemporary architecture through their interpretation of the Lamborghini philosophy – visionary, cutting edge and stylistically pure.
The contest, to be held in partnership with YAC, Young Architects Competitions, a leading promoter of architectural contests, and sponsored by the Emilia-Romagna Region, the Metropolitan City of Bologna, the municipality of Sant’Agata Bolognese, the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna and Unindustria Bologna, will also benefit from an exceptional international jury. Four internationally famous architectural practices – Zaha Hadid Architects, Studio Fabio Novembre, Studio Libeskind and Foster + Partners – will judge the entries alongside Francesco Dal Co, Editor of «Casabella»; Giuseppe Cappochin, President of the Italian Professional Association of Architects; Annalisa Trentin from the University of Bologna; and Stefano Domenicali, Chief Executive Officer of Automobili Lamborghini.
The competition includes certain requirements which must be met when creating the installation, including a healthy respect for the area and the environment. The projects should favor the use of non-polluting materials and environmentally sustainable technology, in keeping with the ethically responsible and environmentally sustainable strategy pursued by Automobili Lamborghini.

· The new facility will be operational by the end of 2018
· The building will cover more than 10,000 sqm
· Up to 200 new job hires once the full plant production capacity is reached
Sant'Agata Bolognese, 22 May 2017 – Automobili Lamborghini continues development of its production site, announcing construction of a paint plant. The new building will be completed by the end of 2018 and will be used to paint the body of the Urus SUV, which is scheduled to arrive on the market next year.
The paint plant will extend over more than 10,000 square meters, further expanding the production site, which will extend from the 150,000 sqm, envisaged and reached up by end of 2017, to a total of more than 160,000 sqm of covered area.
The new paint facility will also impact favorably in terms of human resources: approximately 200 new hires will be made by the time the plant reaches full production capacity, adding to 500 jobs created due to the third Lamborghini model.
Stefano Domenicali, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Lamborghini, remarked: “We are very pleased with this result, which represents another step on our path of strategic expansion. Thanks to the support and faith of our shareholder AUDI AG, a decision was taken that most effectively safeguards our know-how, job growth in the territory, and brand identity.”
The new plant will benefit from the most advanced technological systems with low environmental impact. A staff of highly-skilled workers will guarantee the highest standards of quality on products characterized by a high level of customization.
The confirmation was favored by a recent organizational agreement made between the company and the union regarding the system of work shifts, aimed at making expansion highly attractive in terms of competitiveness and cost control.

Sant'Agata Bolognese / Seattle (WA), June 20, 2016 – Automobili Lamborghini is celebrating the grand opening for the new Seattle-based carbon fiber research facility, the Advanced Composite Structures Laboratory (ACSL).
Operating as an entity outside of the company's headquarters in Sant'Agata Bolognese, the ACSL is responsible for unlocking new potential in carbon fiber. The breakthroughs that take place here go on to influence developments in Lamborghinis of the future. The official grand opening of the new ACSL also marks the 30th anniversary of Lamborghini's use of carbon fiber reinforced polymer in its vehicles.
“Carbon fiber is a material that Lamborghini has a long history with. Starting with the Countach Quattrovalvole and continuing today, it is one of the most important keys to the success of our cars in the past, present and future,” said Stefano Domenicali, Automobili Lamborghini Chief Executive Officer.
Seattle is a strategic location for the ACSL, particularly because of its collaboration with Boeing in working toward carbon fiber innovations that are beneficial in both automotive and aerospace applications.
“Seattle is a nexus for innovation and Lamborghini's choice to base its carbon fiber research center here reflects that,” Washington State Gov. Jay Inslee said, “Lamborghini's Advanced Composite Structures Laboratory, their continued success in developing breakthrough technology, and their collaboration with Boeing is a benefit and a point of pride for the city and the state of Washington.”
Forged Composite® is one of the most important developments to come from research within the ACSL which shortens the amount of production time required to form components by comparison the traditional labor techniques.
The technology made its debut in 2010 with the Sesto Elemento limited series supercar where it served in a structural capacity and as proof of how capable the rapid-formed material is. Such continued refinements in the manufacturing process have allowed Lamborghini to enhance its finished product for structural and aesthetical application in 2013.
“By continuing to develop our patented Forged Composite materials, we are able to create a product that can enhance Lamborghini super sports cars in both their performance and their appearance,” said Maurizio Reggiani, Board Member, R&D. “The ability to leverage this kind of lightweight material gives Lamborghini an advantage that will benefit our cars – as well as production process – in the future.”
Lamborghini's dedication to leading the industry in carbon fiber innovation goes beyond material development through the ACSL to find and recruit young, talented engineers from around the world.
Lamborghini debuted the latest car to showcase its mastery of carbon fiber during the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. The Centenario, which was on display for the exclusive event, is available in a body made of fully exposed carbon fiber.
Meant to mark what would have been company founder Ferruccio Lamborghini's 100th birthday, the Centenario is a marriage between acknowledgements of past milestones and technological “firsts.” Appropriately, it is only available in a very limited production run of 20 coupes and 20 Roadsters.

Sant’Agata Bolognese, 13 July 2016 – Lamborghini launches the Ad Personam Studio at its historic Sant’Agata Bolognese headquarters: an area dedicated entirely to the company's customization program, which enables each customer to create his or her very own, Lamborghini.
The Ad Personam Studio is located in the heart of the company's production facility, and its concept and furnishings inspired by creative spaces and design studios. It is designed to offer Lamborghini customers the unique experience of being aided by an Ad Personam specialist at every step of the process, in order to select colors, interior trim and the materials of their future super sports car.
Before specifying their car, the prospective owner visits the factory on a guided tour, so he or she can view possible configurations on actual Huracán and Aventador models. Next, the customer is hosted in the sophisticated yet minimal atmosphere of the Ad Personam Studio, which includes displays of leathers, colors, materials, seats and rims, and includes an advanced car configurator for digital simulation of possible options. The lounge area is also used for displaying the particular Lamborghini model ordered by the customer.
The Ad Personam program is available for both Huracán and Aventador. As one of the company's strategic offerings, the program not only ensures the best possible customer experience, but also enhances the product and brand in a broader sense.
Ad Personam began in 2006 and was expanded in 2013 with the creation of a dedicated team consisting of representatives from the company's principal departments. The goal of the Ad Personam group of specialists is to provide a tailored consulting service that aids each customer in choosing colors, materials, trim and accessories, which meet the stylistic criteria of the Lamborghini marque and are consistent with its stringent quality and safety standards.
Since 2013, more than 50 new Ad Personam exterior colors have been developed, and the option of applying two-tone paint and livery has been introduced. The number of possible combinations of colors and materials for the interior has also been increased. New materials have even been added, such as different types of Alcantara to enhance sporty components of the car interior and new fine leathers like the semi-aniline leather to enhance the luxurious feeling of the interior.
One of the most high-tech and in-demand Ad Personam materials is Forged Composite, an innovative carbon fiber material patented by Lamborghini and offered on both the roof and the interior and exterior details of the Aventador.
In the first half of 2016 more than 50% of Lamborghini super sports cars delivered were customized with the Ad Personam option – a percentage that has tripled over the past three years. The Aventador is undoubtedly the most customized model: the privilege of a clientele that is more sensitive to the exclusiveness and uniqueness of their purchase.
