With a return on sales of over 14 percent in the passenger car division and consolidated earnings of 3.6 billion euros, Mercedes-Benz met analysts’ expectations in the second quarter. The Stuttgart car manufacturer has increased its forecast for the return on sales in the second half of 2022 in the car division to twelve to 14 percent.
“Our increased focus on desirable top-end and electric vehicles combined with continued cost discipline has enabled us to deliver strong results despite severe headwinds,” said Chief Financial Officer Harald Wilhelm.
