Final Monte Booster Bash Aug. 25

The final Montezuma Community Development Booster Bash of the season will be held Thursday, Aug. 25, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. The family event is held on east and south sides of the Montezuma square.

Montezuma resident Cody Hicks will provide music. There will be a car show, food, games and a variety of exhibitors and vendors offering produce and ag products, arts and crafts, service organization and local businesses.

Electronic recycling event Aug. 27

Mahaska.org, with the support of Imagine Grinnell, Bayer and Grinnell College, is hosting a free to the public ECYCLE (Electronic Recycling Event) Saturday, Aug. 27 from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. at 2021 6th Ave. (the old Monsanto site) in Grinnell.

Enter the site from Highway 6, drop off your electronics (people will be there to help) and exit on Penrose Street.

Grinnell Car, Bike Show Aug. 27

The 49th annual Grinnell Car and Bike Show is slated for Saturday, Aug. 27, beginning at 8 a.m. The event, which is held in Central Park, is open and free to the public. It is hosted by the Grinnell Vintage Auto Club.

Vehicle registration is 8 – 11 a.m. with awards presented at 2 p.m. The cost is $20 to enter a vehicle in the show. The club will hand out 35 trophies plus five special trophies.

LP33 will be providing the tunes. There will be door prizes and a 50/50 drawing. The Grinnell Optimist Club will be serving breakfast until 10 a.m.
