No change in Breda – The INEOS Grenadiers

Vuelta a España stage three: Breda › Breda, 193.2km.

The INEOS Grenadiers worked well together to maintain their overall positions after stage three of the Vuelta a España.

The final stage in the Netherlands came down to a bunch sprint in Breda, with Ethan Hayter the first Grenadier home in 13th.

This means he retains his white jersey as the best young rider in the race and is one of four Grenadiers in the top 10 overall.

Richard Carapaz had a late issue when he suffered a low-speed crash and dropped his chain, but he was brought back to the bunch by Tao Geoghegan Hart and Pavel Sivakov before the pace ramped up for a bunch sprint won by Sam Bennett (Bora Hansgrohe).

Ethan Hayter

“We stayed up front pretty well today. Richard Carapaz had a small crash with 20km to go. The guys came back really well and I think he’s ok. it’s a good day. I followed BikeExchange in the sprint, but they didn’t have the best lead-out either in the end so I didn’t take any risks.”
