Here’s Why The 1360-HP Zenvo TSR-GT Is A Very Special Speed Monster – HotCars

Zenvo Automotive, a Danish supercar manufacturer, is undergoing substantial changes, including new management provided by former Czinger boss Jens Sverdrup and the introduction of a brand-new supercar in 2023.

A few years ago, Zenvo Automotive of Denmark garnered attention for the dynamic wing on its TSR-S model. Zenvo is now joining this more discrete bespoke team with what may be the last edition of the TSR supercar. Prior to the arrival of the following generation, Zenvo is giving its current TS platform a suitable send-off by announcing the TSR-GT. A low-drag GT variant of its hypercar that competes with the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut, Rimac Nevera and McLaren Speedtail.

Zenvo has unveiled an ultra-exclusive grand tourer that surpasses the company’s “regular” TSR hypercar in terms of performance, aerodynamics, and interior opulence. In comparison to the conventional Zenvo TSR, Zenvo has a lower drag design, better dynamics, and better top speed. This TSR is a “low-drag” version, thanks in part to a revised aerodynamic pack. The final model to utilize the company’s TS platform is the Zenvo TSR-GT, which is only available in three specimens that have been already sold. However, the car will leave a mark on the globe because of its capabilities.

Zenvo Engineer Designed TSR-GT For Maximum Top Speed

The Zenvo GT represents an appealing aesthetic comeback to the chaotic yet graceful ST1, which we first saw back in 2009. The TSR-GT has a slight body re-styling and an entirely new power upgrade. They designed and manufactured it to reach a higher top speed thanks to its reduced drag. Similar to the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut, Zenvo removes the drag-inducing aero from its hypercar to reach an impressive new top speed of 263 mph. It even goes faster than the McLaren Speedtail’s 250 mph.

In order to reduce drag, Zenvo’s engineers had to remove the active spoiler from the TSR-R and replace it with a larger fixed wing. Additionally, the wheels now have aerodynamic coverings. The TSR-distinctive S’s “centripetal” wing is now replaced by a hand-built rear spoiler composed of pre-preg carbon fiber. In addition to tilting while turning to increase downforce, the latter component can also flip up to act as an airbrake. The GT’s fixed wing is built to cut drag and contribute to its eye-catching top speed of 263 mph, up from 202 mph in the TSR-S.

The TSR-GT is a continuation of Zenvo’s TS-series cars, which also include the TS1, TS1 GT, TSR, and the road-legal TSR-S revealed in 2018. The TSR-GT outperforms this vehicle in terms of horsepower, top speed, and touring-style styling, reaching 263 mph. The GT soars to 263 mph thanks to a higher final drive and significant horsepower infusion, while the TSR-S tops out at 202 mph. Zenvo claims that the performance is still limited, so that raises the possibility for even higher numbers in the future.

The same 5.8-liter twin-supercharged flat plane crank V8 engine from the ferocious TSR-S is found underneath the carbon composite skin. To achieve a new 1360 hp output, up 183 hp over its predecessor, Zenvo made a number of improvements to the car. The transmission is an eight-speed helical-cut dog box designed by Zenvo. There isn’t a torque figure available yet, but it will likely be more than the TSR-S 811 lb-ft. Thus, the Danish hypercar surpasses the 258 mph Rimac Nevera, which holds the title of the fastest electric production vehicle in the world. Zenvo’s new Power Pack upgrade is where the additional power comes from. A reworked inlet plenum and exhaust manifold are part of the pack, which will increase the engine’s volumetric efficiency. Additionally, it can run on E85 gasoline.

Zenvo TSR-GT Grand Tourer Luxurious Interior

The TSR-GT, as its title implies, is more of a grand tourer. Zenvo swapped out the TSR-S model’s inside for one that is more opulent and upholstered in several types of leather. The TSR-interior, S’s which is primarily made of raw carbon fiber, is at last covered in leather for so-called grand touring specifications. Though it differs from Zenvo, it’s still unlikely to be a casual continent crusher. Additionally, Zenvo has created new velour floor mats with leather edges that also serve as sound insulators.

What is Zenvo’s future plan? According to Zenvo, the TSR-GT street-legal hypercar will be the final vehicle for the TS platform. In the third quarter of 2023, an entirely new model will hit the shelves.

Jens Sverdrup, a chief commercial officer of Zenvo, stated: A new age is upon Zenvo, but before that, we have developed our version of a GT variant of the TS platform. We only produce three models, all of which are devoted to international collectors.
