It is not only in France that Renault has a good year 2017. Internationally, the sales of the French manufacturer have also the wind in the back with an increase, all regions, of 8.5%, to 3.76 million vehicles sold.
Asia-Pacific and Eurasia
The brand at Losange is boosted by two sectors in particular: first Asia-Pacific, which recorded a 17% increase in sales but only gained 0.1 points market share local. Then Eurasia, where Renault increases its sales by 13.6%, to + 1.4 points of market share. The French manufacturer takes full advantage of a Russian car market booming.
Follows the Americas zone, including Central and Latin America, where sales are up 9.9% and Africa-Middle East-India (+ 8.4%). The results of the brand at Losange confirm the rise of emerging markets.
Lada at the top
For the first time, the group (which includes Renault, Dacia, Alpine and Samsung Motors) includes in its results those of Lada (Avtovaz), of which it is a 53% shareholder. A good thing since the Russian brand recorded the strongest growth (+ 17.8%, to 335,564 vehicles sold) of all the brands of the group.
The Renault and Dacia brands grew respectively by 7.4% (to 2.6 million sales) and 12.2% (to around 655,000 units sold). The results of the group are slightly weighed down by the poor results of Samsung Motors. Only entity to see its volumes decrease (- 10.1%) of sales between 2016 and 2017.
With such a score, Renault is likely to be again the first French manufacturer in front of PSA who publishes his results tomorrow.
