New Mercedes-Benz S-Class Receives Level 3 Permission in Nevada
CES 2023 is currently taking place in Nevada, more precisely in Las Vegas. It may be a coincidence, but right now Mercedes-Benz is getting a license to operate the new ones S classthat’s about autonomous driving level 3 has.
Approval received Mercedes Benz from the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) yesterday, Thursday. Permission was granted through self-certification, as Reuters reports. The certificate will be issued in the next two weeks, so the vehicles will probably not be going to the CES yet.
At level 3 you can take your hands off the wheel and focus on other things while driving under certain conditions on certain routes. The Mercedes-Benz system for Level 3 is DRIVE PILOT. Only Mercedes-Benz and soon too Hyundai with the model genesis have such a vehicle on offer.
