The CEO of the Opel parent company Stellantis, Carlos Tavares, puts the German car bosses in the shade with his remuneration. The total remuneration, including bonuses paid out later, amounted to around EUR 23.5 million in 2022 after EUR 19.2 million in the previous year.
Shareholders approved the compensation plan on Thursday after rejecting it last year. According to the group, 14.9 million euros were actually paid to Tavares.
VW and Porsche boss Oliver Blume meanwhile earned 7.4 million euros including pension commitments. According to the new remuneration system requested from the shareholders, he can receive up to 15 million euros in the future. Mercedes boss Ola Källenius was entitled to total remuneration including pension expenses of 7.09 million euros in 2022. BMW boss Oliver Zipse came up with an actual remuneration of 7.9 million euros.
