NMC officials said they are in the process of studying the technical and financial bids of these firms. These 20 EV stations are expected to be operational within the next three months. The process to set up an additional 80 stations will begin shortly.
The civic body is planning to set up a total of 106 EV charging stations in phases during the next 12 to 18 months.
The 20 locations include six divisional office buildings of NMC, Rajiv Gandhi Bhavan, near Tapovan bus depot, Amrutdham fire station, Satpur fire station, Raje Sambhaji stadium, Bytco Hospital on Nashik Road, Krishinagar jogging track in Nashik West division, Behind B D Bhalekar School parking, Pramod Mahajan Garden in Nashik West, Mahatmanagar Cricket Ground, Phalke Smarak, Ganeshwadi vegetable market building, NMC open space at Lekhanagar and NMC ground on Ambad Link Road.
NMC has set a target of around 600 EV charging stations across the city in the next three years, including 100 which will be set up by the civic body. The NMC has also announced incentives for setting up these charging stations.
