HyperPlay, a Newark, DL-based Web3-native game launcher and aggregator of multiple game stores, raised $12M in Series A funding.
The round was co-led by Griffin Gaming Partners and BITKRAFT Ventures, along with MetaMask’s parent company, ConsenSys. Other investors in the round included Ethereal Ventures, Delphi, Game7, Mirana Ventures, Monoceros Ventures, and others.
The company intends to use the funds to scale, fully enhancing its flagship game launcher and increasing its international presence.
Launched in November of last year as a joint collaboration between MetaMask, the self-custody Web3 wallet, and Game7, a DAO focused on building Web3 gaming infrastructure, by JacobC.eth, HyperPlay provides a Web3 gaming platform that frees developers from centralized entities like Apple, Google and Steam. It has compatibility across MetaMask, WalletConnect unlocking over 40 different crypto wallet providers, and empowering users to bring their wallets, tokens and NFTs into every native or browser game.
