New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki India Limited recorded a noteworthy domestic sales figure of 159,431 units in July 2023, showcasing growth compared to the same period last year when the company sold 155,605 units.
The overall domestic sales of passenger vehicles (PVs) combined witnessed a substantial increase, reaching 152,126 units, as opposed to 142,850 units in the corresponding period last year. However, sales to other original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) experienced a decline, dropping to 4,746 units from 9,939 units in the same period last year. On a positive note, exports grew to 22,199 units from 20,311 units.
In the Mini + Compact Segment, encompassing models like Mini Alto, S-Presso, Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, Tour S, and WagonR, sales decreased to 76,692 units, in contrast to the 105,151 units sold during the same period last year.
Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV) sales also saw a slight decrease to 2,559 units in July 2023, down from 2,816 units in July 2022.
On the other hand, the Utility Vehicles category, which includes Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny, S-Cross, and XL6, experienced remarkable growth, with unit sales totaling 62,049 units in July 2023, compared to 23,272 units in July 2022.
Maruti Suzuki India Limited’s total sales, combining both domestic and export figures, showed an increase, reaching 181,630 units in July 2023, compared to 175,916 units in the same period last year.
