New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki India Limited, India’s leading vehicle manufacturer, on Friday announced its monthly sales. The company registered its highest monthly sales with domestic sales reported to be of 1,89,082 units for August 2023.
The domestic sales observed a growth with 1,58,678 units for August 2023, as compared to 1,37,537 units in 2022. The domestic sales saw an increase of 13% in August 2023.
While the sales to different OEMs are 5,790 units which is reduced as compared to 6,155 units in August 2022. Thus, Maruti had an decrease in sales to different OEMs of approximately 6%.
The exports increased with 24,614 units in August 2023 as compared to 21,481 units in the previous year. The export sales also saw an increase of 15% in August 2023.
While the total sales for the month of August 2022 were 1,65,173 units while this year Maruti observed an increase with the sales of 1,89,082 units, denoting a surge of sales by 14.5%.
The company had earlier said that under ‘Maruti 3.0’ they are targeting to add another 20 lakh units production capacity with about 28 different models in the market by FY 2030-31.
