There is now a start date for a funding program to expand the charging network for electric cars in private residential buildings. The Federal Ministry of Transport also gave details on the individual subsidy amount on Saturday. As a ministry spokeswoman in Berlin said on request, the projects will be supported with a maximum of 10,200 euros. Applications can be submitted from September 26th. The ARD capital studio had previously reported about it.
A total of 500 million euros are in the pot of the state KfW-Bank. The program aims to equip private residential buildings with charging infrastructure, i.e. charging stations, solar power systems and storage systems.
The prerequisite for funding is that all three components are newly purchased together. In addition, an electric car must be available or ordered.
According to the information, the maximum funding amount can only be obtained by those who also release the battery of their vehicle for discharging. The battery can thus serve as a small part of a reserve, from which electricity can also flow back into the grid if necessary or can be used in your own home. Without this variant, the maximum funding amount is 9600 euros.
