Sticchi Damiani: “the prime minister breathed in the magical atmosphere of the Italian F1 Grand Prix in Monza”

One-two for Red Bull powered by Honda in the 94th Formula 1 Pirelli Grand Prix of Italy 2023, which took place at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza, but Ferrari was still the protagonist. Carlos Sainz, who started in pole position, led the race for 15 laps, then the Spaniard strenuously defended third place from attacks by his teammate Charles Leclerc in the final stages.
A challenge between the cars from Maranello that kept the large audience (305,000 over the entire weekend) in suspense until the sack flag. The winner was Max Verstappen who thus achieved another record: the tenth consecutive victory, improving a limit (nine successes) that had lasted for ten years (Vettel 2013).
Behind the Red Bull and Ferrari drivers were those of Mercedes, George Russell and Lewis Hamilton. And Alexander Albon (Williams), Lando Norris (McLaren), Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) and Valtteri Bottas with Alfa Romeo also finished in the points, exactly 73 years after the success of Nino Farina who conquered this track with the 158 won the first world title in history.
Also at the GP are Ministers Salvini, Urso, Piantedosi and Zangrillo
A large group of ministers was present at the Formula 1 Pirelli Gran Premio d’Italia, starting with the Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, who met with the President of the FIA, Mohammed Ben Sulayem, that of F1, Stefano Domenicali, and the President of ‘Automobile Club of Italy, Angelo Sticchi Damiani. But also attending the fifteenth stage of the World Cup were the Minister of the Interior, Matteo Piantedosi, that of Business and Made in Italy, Alfonso Urso, the Minister of Public Administration, Paolo Zangrillom, and the Vice-President of the Council and Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Matteo Salvini. He then took the podium together with the Executive Vice-President of Pirelli, Marco Tronchetti Provera, the President of the Lombardy Region, Attilio Fontana, and the President of ACI, Angelo Sticchi Damiani.

Hymn sung by Volo. The performance of Casta and Gabry Ponte
The ceremony before the start with the famous trio il Volo, who sang the anthem of Mameli on the notes played by the band of the State Police, was exciting. To seal the event, the now traditional overflight of the Frecce Tricolori. The countdown was marked by a tricolor dance on the notes of “Va Pensiero” played by Andrea Casta’s electric violin. Then there was the show by Gabry Ponte, an internationally renowned Italian DJ and producer, who this year celebrates his 25-year career.
Formula 2: Bearman wins and Pourchaire (third) extends
Feature Formula 2 was conquered by the Englishman Oliver Bearman (Prema): the exponent of the Ferrari Driver Academy, leading from start to finish, preceded the Japanese Ayumu Iwasa (Dams), who is part of the Red youth project Bull and Honda. Third was Teo Pourchaire (Art Grand Prix), who once again extended the standings over Frederik Vesti (Prema). With one stage to go (November 24-26 in Abu Dhabi), the Frenchman’s lead is 25 points, with 39 still to be awarded.
Formula 3: British hat-trick. Joy Edgar. La Prema is champion
The last act of Formula 3 saw the English hat-trick with John Edgard (MP Motorsport), Zak O’ Sullivan (Prema) and Taylor Barnard (Jenzer Motorsport). On the podium, the following were awarded by members of the Monza staff: Alfredo Scala, Giovanna Bonfanti, Stefano Tremolada and Roberto Arlati. The first of the Italians was Simonazzi (Carlin), who finished 12th, followed in 16th place by Leornardo Fornaroli (Trident) and in 19th by Gabriele Mini (Hitech-Pulse). Fifth the fresh champion Gabriele Bortoleto (Trident). La Prema won the title reserved for teams.
Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup: the English King wins
Harry King (BWT Lechner Racing) triumphed in the Porsche Supercup Mobil 1 race, ahead of the Dutch Larry Ten Voorde (GP Elite) and our own Simone Iaquinta (Huber Racing). The series was won by Danish Junior Bastian Buus (BWT-Lechner Racing).
