After 17 years, the chairman of the general works council Audi, Peter Mosch (50), resigned from his office. The step should take place on September 30th, as the works council announced on Friday. Mosch had been at the head of the Audi employee representation since 2006.
Taking responsibility also means “handing it over in an orderly and thoughtful manner at the right time,” said Mosch, according to the statement. “I made the decision to do this a long time ago.” Mosch said he would remain an “Audian” and would “use his skills elsewhere for our four rings and the team.” He asked management to offer him another position.
Mosch’s deputy, Rita Beck (52), emphasized: “Peter leaves big footprints.” Audi Human Resources Director Xavier Ros (52) called him “an institution” for the company and thanked him for his cooperation. A successor for Mosch has not yet been determined.
