Autonomous cleaning vehicles were tested in Shanghai.
In the Chinese city Shanghai The startup Autowise.ai has started a test with autonomous cleaning vehicles.
The fleet consists of autonomous road sweeping machines developed and tested in Shanghai by Autowise.ai. It should be the first of your kind. A similar concept has already Daimler snow clearance vehicles implemented.
The test at Shanghai Science Park Tus-Caohejing was conducted at two o’clock in the morning and the road was successfully cleaned. The two vehicles measure six meters and three meters in length and fulfill different tasks.
Not only could they turn the road, they could also successfully navigate around traffic lights and roadblocks. However, they drove the test but not at full speed and only on demarcated area.
Since these vehicles usually drive at night when the traffic is not so strong, this facilitates the operation and so Autowise.ai believes in a large market.
