Global private markets investor Pantheon is rolling out the Pantheon Global Private Equity Fund to private and institutional investors in more than 20 countries outside of the US, according to a company announcement.
The fund will provide secondary and co-investment opportunities with a focus on the mid-market, the announcement said, offering monthly subscriptions starting from $25,000 and quarterly liquidity.
It is the latest addition to Pantheon’s global private wealth platform, which manages about $7 billion in assets, and includes the AMG Pantheon Fund, which similarly offers US investors access to a global private equity portfolio through a single investment and with quarterly liquidity.
Pantheon is one of many following suit in launching such fund investment opportunities targeted at private investors or high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs).
Pennsylvania-based alternative investment management company Hamilton Lane launched its Private Assets Fund in 2019 to high-net-worth and wholesale investors in Australia and New Zealand, Asia, Canada, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East. The fund has an investment minimum of $1 million and also offers quarterly limited liquidity to its investors.
Swedish investment firm EQT introduced EQT Nexus earlier this year, offering individuals in Europe and APAC a chance to invest in the firm’s private equity and infrastructure funds, focusing on early-stage to mature buyouts.
Massachusetts-headquartered Wellington Management launched a second round of its funds targeted at Singapore’s retail investors and HNWIs.
Last month, Pantheon announced new offices in Singapore and Geneva, Switzerland as part of its ongoing global expansion plans. Pantheon invests on behalf of over 660 investors, including public and private pension plans, insurance companies, endowments, and foundations, with nearly $61 billion in assets under management.
